Summer Notes
Greetings HCMA Family!
I hope everyone is enjoying the simple pleasures of summer; dinner out of the garden, picnics at the lake, walks after dinner, and family time. Our summers are short, but that just makes us focus and savor every minute of it!
For the last two summers, my daughter Elle (pictured to the left) and I have participated in a summer camp in Marion Massachusetts. Elle attends the camp, while I work as the director of the 6 and 7 year old program. This 7 week program makes for a hectic summer, but is such a wonderful experience for Elle and allows me to do work that is a bit different than my normal HCMA work. While we enjoy being here on the bay, we dearly miss summer in NH.
Starting today, and throughout the remainder of summer, you will receive an email from me, on Wednesdays, with notes and updates for the beginning of the school year. I know it seems crazy to think about school shopping, but our students do go outside in all sorts of weather so I will be providing families with a gear list shortly. One Wednesday will include the school handbook, while another will cover the Day of Service that will be held on Sunday, August 28th.
I am also trying to get our email lists in order. If you are a two parent household, please speak with your partner and confirm that they did receive this email and if they did not, do they wish to receive email from us? If they would like to receive all HCMA email, please email me with their address. This should help us prevent any oversights or bounce backs that might take place.
HCMA does have a website, if you haven't been there I would encourage you to have a look around. There are 5 years of blog posts that really speak to who we are. You can also find us on Facebook.
I hope everyone is doing wonderfully, and I look forward to chatting with you all again next week! Enjoy all of your adventures until then.
