Did you see us in The Home Town Voice?

Below is the article that is featured in the July issue of The Home Town Voice.  Have a wonderful and blessed holiday weekend!  Slow down and enjoy the freedoms of this great nation!

Parents in the Newfound Area will have another educational option for their children this fall as Heart Centered Multi-Age opens its doors in downtown Bristol.

While the school will serve children ages five through eight, Director and Head Teacher, Jennifer MacDonald explains that the enrollment focus in this inaugural year is on five and six year olds. “We are building our enrollment from the bottom up.  As this first year of five and six year olds move through the program and become first and second graders our program will expand” says MacDonald.

For many area parents Heart Centered Multi-Age’s program is filling a much needed void.  “The school is open daily from seven am until five pm with the official school day beginning at 8:30 and ending at 3:00.   The full day kindergarten program means parents do not have to worry about before and aftercare for their five year olds.” MacDonald explains.

“We are very excited to move into our new space on Pleasant Street.  With easy access to the park and library, you will often see us out in the community” says MacDonald.  A foundation of the program is getting children outside of the classroom and learning from their natural environment and their community at large.  Through weekly outings and interaction with area seniors, the children at Heart Centered Multi-Age are not only learning the academic skills they will need throughout life, but also learning to be inwardly happy and community minded.

“We want our program to be a fixture in the downtown area” says MacDonald.  This summer the public is invited to join us on July 6th at 10 am for a free music class for children presented by Mary Farley of Lakes Region Music Together.   Heart Centered Multi-Age will also be presenting a Nature Based Story Hour on select Tuesdays throughout July and August.  For more information on the school or any of these events please refer to the school’s website at www.heartcenteredmultiage.com or call the school directly at 603-340-4939.
